You Believe in What We Do.

Thanks to Char & Chuck Fowler, BorderLight has been offered a generous matching gift to support the inaugural festival. We request your help in making the most of this gift. Our goal is to raise $300,000 more in individual donations by February 1st, 2019—a critical period during which we will begin the process of contracting artists. Our vision is ambitious; your donation will help us get there.

Interested in making a gift? Here’s what your support can do:

  • $5,000 will subsidize BorderLight's community engagement initiatives, including free tickets offered to Cleveland residents with limited means

  • $3,500 will support renting Public Square for free public performances

  • $1,000 will offset airfare for an artist from Asia or Africa

  • $500 will cover the rental of a downtown theatre venue for one day

  • $250 will help secure a visa for an artist from one of the world’s conflict zones

  • $100 will provide housing for (2) out-of-town Fringe Festival artists for a night

We need not look further than the Edinburgh Fringe or the Stratford Festival to see the transformative power of large-scale arts festivals. BorderLight promises to bring the vibrancy of an international performing arts festival to downtown Cleveland— and the social mobility and economic stimulus that go with it.

Together, we share the capacity, ability, and desire to assert Cleveland’s stature as a world class city of artistic innovation. We hope you will join us in this effort.

With thanks and appreciation,

Dale, Jeff and the whole BorderLight team
