SHOW SYNOPSIS & details
as submitted by the artist(s)
rustbelt. is a non-fictional deep dive into the stories behind real stolen objects from abandoned buildings across America, specifically in Midwest and middle America’s"Rust Belt"; questioning at what point stealing is no longer justified, two urban explorers will attempt to honor working class history that has been left to rot through a series of interviews with locals, museum curators, amateur/oral historians, and practitioners, shared playfully and artfully through a fantasia of document cameras, audience interaction, and de facto live feed puppetry.
