The Volunteer and Staffing Manager will make a significant contribution to the first BorderLight International Theatre Festival + Fringe by helping to create and staff the festival’s front of house team and volunteer program, which they will both set up and deliver. They will recruit, manage, train, schedule and supervise the volunteer base and front of house, looking after volunteers’ welfare and ensuring that they clearly understand their duties and feel part of BorderLight’s vision and policies regarding diversity, artistic quality and audience experience.
The Artist Liaison will make an important contribution to the first BorderLight International Theatre Festival + Fringe by serving as the key point of contact between visiting artists and BorderLight management. The Artist Liaison is responsible for meeting the needs of artists, mostly international, who will be arriving in Cleveland to perform in the Festival. Duties may range from airport pickups to finding a doctor to planning social events. Artist arrivals start July 1 and continue throughout the month of July. Artists from South Africa, the U.S., Ireland and Israel will be new to Cleveland and the Artist Liaison will look after their welfare and help them with any issues that may arise during their stay. The Artist Liaison will be directly responsible for 16 visiting artists and will be a secondary point of contact for 3 others.
