More from Amir Yatziv
Peter is Back is a live show featuring an AI monkey inspired by Kafka. In a real-time dialogue, Peter reflects on becoming human. Each performance changes live, blurring the line between script and improvisation, control and unpredictability.
SHOW SYNOPSIS & details
as submitted by the artist(s)
In this workshop, artist Amir Yatziv opens up the process behind Peter Is Back , a live performance in which he shares the stage with Peter, an AI character based on Kafka's *A Report to an Academy*. The workshop moves through four sections: an introduction to the project's origins in Kafka's story and the questions it raises about imitation, identity, and freedom; a technical behind-the-scenes look at how the AI character is constructed, including the relationship between scripted dialogue and live improvisation, memory across performances, control, and error; a live demonstration of real-time interaction with Peter; and an open discussion with participants. The workshop is designed for artists, educators, and anyone curious about the intersection of AI, theater, and what it means to perform humanity.
