Journey to the hidden realm of material transfer. Loading docks bear the weight of feeding, clothing and entertaining us at whatever cost, while secreting away what we no longer desire. A muffled grind of inputs and outputs. Wheels rolling. Rust and grease and concrete.
Clifton is a multimedium from Cleveland, Ohio. He acts on stage, writes weird shows, builds video installations and plays music whenever it seems right. He draws on the traditions of theatre, clown, manual labor and Larry Harvey’s 10 Principles. Experiments in Exhaustion Technology is a culmination of these practices.
Each moment is a unique experience guided by the fate of your hands. Through music, poetry, stories, games and a talking mannequin, we examine the relationship between exhaustion and free will. Come and go as you please. This is research science and the cost of entry is your existential data. It is essential that you fill out the form before viewing.
