Journey West, which debuted at the beginning of this year, is an exploration of resilience, progress, and a testament to the strength and weakness of man. Originally in four acts, the play meshes several dynamic and complex storylines into an expansive epic that spans four states, two years, and eight complex people all suffering and navigating their own individual turmoil.
Now, the story takes on a new form as we follow ranchers Randall and Cecelia make an emotionally arduous journey across the southern United States in search of a better life. Crossing paths with the retired outlaw Clark Mast on his path to emotional retribution and a Prospector just finding their way, together they confront truths about themselves, which leads them into different perspectives of liberty and self-destruction. Through a series of monologues, memory pieces, and movement, jump on the train for Journey West: The Epic Devised, where the past catches up and the world changes whether you like it or not.
