THE PROTEST CAFÉ is a moment. It’s a conversation. It’s a call to action. Four performers explore songs from 250 years of American protest music. Some songs are familiar. Some are not. All of them mark a flashpoint in American history. Why were these songs written? How did they shape our culture? What do they teach us about who we are? About who we can become? Fusing theatre, history, and music THE PROTEST CAFÉ transforms our understanding of the past, enlightens our experience of the present, and points us passionately toward the future!
