SHOW SYNOPSIS & details

as submitted by the artist(s)

As with Eichmann, Klaus Barbie was not tried at Nuremberg after WW2. Why?
Officials of the United States government were directly responsible for protecting a person (Barbie) wanted by the government of France on criminal charges including crimes against humanity, and in arranging his escape from the law. As a direct result of that action, Klaus Barbie (former Gestapo chief of Lyon) did not stand trial in 1950; he spent 33 years as a free man and a fugitive from justice. His extradition to France to stand trial is due entirely to the persistence of the government of France and the cooperation of the then government of Bolivia.
Barbie died in prison in 1991.
