SYNOPSIS
Learn how to write music using the power of the collective voice. Participants will focus on A Capella singing, ear training, harmony, and singing games to capture a song unique to the participants in the room. Molly will share her method of generating lyrics from the gut/limbic brain and offer how “puzzle pieces” can build into a song. Molly Andrews-Hinders has composed music for shows at Cleveland Public Theatre, Maelstrom Collaborative Arts, and Near West Theatre. She released a self-produced album, “Naked Dinner” under the stage name Creating Lewis in May 2023. Molly is the composer for Velveteen, A New Musical opening Playhouse Square’s Children’s Theater series in October 2024. She is director and composer of Emergence, an ensemble exploring collective care amidst the backdrop of oppressive systems. Molly is the 2024 Kulas Composer Fellow at Cleveland Public Theatre.

The Power of Voice
I really enjoyed this workshop. Molly is a fun, encouraging and gifted instructor. She led us through singing games that were pure musical acapella improv! I left the class feeling inspired, courageous and spiritually lifted. Highly recommended!
