Mary Goggin is a New York based actor born to Irish emigrants, raised in the Bronx and sent away to convent schools in both Dublin and West Cork. Ms. Goggin’s Irish Catholic experiences drove her further down a path of sexual repression and self-hate, eventually finding strength and redemption. A professional actor for 26 years, Mary has since appeared in numerous stage productions, television series, films and commercials. Her gut told her of her responsibility to use talent and bravery to tell it and use it for the good. A survivor of alcoholism, heroin, meth addiction, prostitution, domestic violence and the horror and shame of being incapable of caring for her baby she provides hope, and takes us on a spellbinding journey to humanity.

Runaway Princess has been accepted into 18 play festivals in 3 years’ time, has performed over 50 performances worldwide (including Ireland), and garnered rave reviews, winning several awards.” Her parents were born in Ireland, at 13 I ran away, shot heroin and sent to 2 different convents in in Ireland in 2019 I brought my show to Galway. My sisters advised my relatives not to see it. My publicist got me RTE spots and blogs with great delight I publicly incited my relatives to show up. Silence. The last performance unbeknownst to me 8 family members were in the audience. They loved it. After the show we cried and hugged. I GOT TO TELL MY SIDE OF THE STORY! THEY EMBRACED ME AND OUR HUMANITY.
